our story
deelicious is a swedish brand created by the busy bee Maria Dee Danielsson from the Dalecarlian woods. It all started on the road around the world! As a pro snowboarder she travelled a lot and had mountains and snow as her working field. It was hours of travelling, different countries to discover and lots of nature to experience. Maria had always been inspired by creativity and art; by colours, by old torn doors, handicraft and architecture; by meeting older people and seeing youngsters. To knit was a way of relax from the focus on the sport and a way of beeing able to create . After a while the knitted creations became coveted by others in the winter world. When the snowboard career ended after an injury it was time to turn a corner and start writing on a new chapter

How would she go about this?
How to produce unique knitwear in her home surroundings, Sweden? The answer came throu a chat with a good friend: Retired people. They have the time and they have the experience!
And this is only the beginning of our story.
deelicious works with happy retired ladies with experience and with a passion for knitting and handicraft. The Knittingladies live around the corner to you so the creations are environmetally-friendly made. The intention is to make handmade products that are truly unique. Lena
If Im not sure how to make the pattern, I go to Lena. Lena can make stars out of water. She’s a great craftswomen and she can handle both knitting, crochet and sewing. She’s the queen of our pullovers, summer tops and plain beanies. Lena lives in Farsta with her husband Anders.

Ing-Marie
The most positive lady in Stockholm. There is always something going on in Ing-Maries life. She’s the sun who makes knitting look so easy. Ing-Marie are the lady behind our berets, polos and V-vests.
Irja
A strong women from Jämtland. Irja has all different handicraft skills. It doesn’t matter if there are scarfs or jackets or beanies that need to be done, Irja will make it. When she’s not sining in the choir or at home with different handicraft projects she loves to spend time in her childhood farm in Jämtland.
Maria L
Maria are our most sporty knitter. She’s swimming, running and loves to ski. Those are perfect activities when you live near the lake Alviken and just downside from the local Skiarea in Leksand Grandberget. Maria has roots from the Dalecarlian area but grew up in Stockholm but are now back at “home” in Siljansnäs. We are very happy that she also likes to sit down and relax sometimes, then with knitting needles in her hands, cause she’s a very good knitter!

Kerstin H
Always has a smile on her face. As a former textile teacher she’s very accurate and makes everything exact. Kerstin lives in Handen but she’s spending a lot of time in her house on Yxlö in the archipelagon of Stockholm. Kerstin can make every pattern look beautiful.
Ulla D
Ulla are the mom of deelicious creator Maria. She is the one who get to fix problems in case its needed somehow in the fabrics or in the yarn. She’s also the one who makes lots of finishing stitches and takes care of the shipping and logistics that need to be done in the webbshop if Maria is out of the village.
